To quote the great Mary Gross (SNL 1981-85), I am spittin’ mad!

Every piece of advice I see says “Stay six feet away from everyone.” But “everyone” isn’t correct!

It’s an oversimplication. It’s like the advice that originally said “Don’t leave your dog in a car on a hot day with the windows closed,” which morphed into “Don’t leave your dog in a car on a hot day” (even if you were parked in the shade with the windows providing a breeze), which morphed into “Don’t leave your dog in a car.”

Trying to follow this misguided advice, there are probably tens of thousands of elderly couples out there who are living together but trying to stay six feet away from each other…

Math note: “Up 26% in one day” means the number of cases/deaths per day would double every three days.

Scarier math note: If U.S. deaths continue to grow at 41% per day, then in 2-1/2 weeks we will see the same number of deaths that we saw on 9/11 happening EVERY HOUR.
